 FOCUS Broadband to Drop Viacom Channels Starting in October, FOCUS Broadband will no longer carry channels from Viacom Networks in our cable TV lineup. This change affects the following channels: Paramount, BET, TV Land, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, and Nickelodeon among others. While this may be disappointing to some, these channels have relatively low viewership among our customers and no longer justify their increased cost demands. This decision is part of our efforts to manage the rising costs of cable TV programming while focusing on delivering the most popular entertainment content. For fans of these channels, there are many streaming alternatives that still offer them, including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and DIRECTV via Internet. It was a race against time in 1970 after Command Module Pilot, John "Jack" Swigert, famously said, "Houston, we've had a problem here."
